Part-time Research Assistant : The Social and Cultural Construction of Emotions: The Greek Paradigm
Applications are invited for the above part-time post (eight hours per week), attached to the ‘Social and Cultural Construction of Emotions’ research project funded by the European Research Council, to start as soon as possible, until 31 December 2010. The postholder will provide research assistance to the Principal Investigator, Professor Angelos Chaniotis, in the compilation of a database concerning the history of emotions in the Greek world (c. 800 BCE-c. 500 CE) and in the edition of collective volumes. Applicants must be doctoral students in an appropriate area of Greek history or Classics and have a good knowledge of ancient Greek, and Greek social, political, and cultural history. IT skills and experience would be an advantage.
