25-27 June 2019

Birley Room, Hatfield College, Durham — DH1 3RQ, UK

Dear List Members,

I am pleased to invite you to the conference: “Ancient Revelation: Divination, Prophecy and Epiphany”, which will take place on 25-27 June 2019, at Durham University (Hatfield College, Birley Room). The event aims at discussing the interactions between different cultural groups in the first centuries BC and AD, as centred around the widespread reliance on revealed truths and divined contents of knowledge.

The conference website is, and will be, updated with all relevant information:

http://www.dcamp.uk/events/revelation/

You will find the list of speakers and topics at the end of this message.

Graduate students are particularly welcome to attend and encouraged to chair conference sessions. We have a limited number of graduate bursaries for travels and accommodation: if you are interested in graduate bursaries, please send an e-mail with a short CV and a brief explanation of your interest to elsa.g.simonetti@durham.ac.uk by May 15. Acceptance will be confirmed by the end of May.
This conference was made possible by the generous support of The Past and Present Society, The Classical Association, Durham Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Durham Department of Classics and Ancient History, and DCAMP — Durham Centre for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy.
Please contact by May 20 elsa.g.simonetti@durham.ac.uk if you wish to attend the conference, and anytime if you have any questions.
