Post-doc in Ancient and Medieval Philosophy (University of Campinas, Brazil)
The Department of Philosophy of the University of Campinas (Unicamp) calls for applications for one (01) position as Postdoctoral Fellow Researcher in Philosophy. The areas of specialization and concentration are Ancient Philosophy and Medieval Philosophy. The positions should start in August 2020, pending administrative approval. This is a one-year appointment possibly renewable for a second year.
Researcher’s responsibilities include teaching one graduate course on a topic related to the researcher’s area of interest, leaving the other semester free to pursue research (which include organizing seminars with students). The course may be taught in English or Portuguese. It lasts one semester, but can be offered in a concentrated period of the semester according to the University rules.The current monthly value of postdoctoral scholarships amounts to 4.100 reais (Brazilian currency).
QualificationsApplicants must have completed the requirements for the PhD by June 01, 2020 or before, and must have defended the PhD thesis no more than 10 years ago. Those who are not Brazilians should prove home address. They cannot be employed by another institution during the period of their appointment at Unicamp, nor be retired.
